Benah Nicole Mukobi, LL.M, PGDip Law, LL.B, Commissioner for Oaths, Notary Public

Benah Nicole Mukobi is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, a Commissioner for Oaths and Notary Public. She is an Associate Advocate at the firm and forms part of the Dispute Resolution and Debt Recovery Department. Her practice areas and interests have notably centered on commercial litigation, constitutional & administrative law, employment law, criminal law, family law and succession, judicial review and general litigation practice.

Benah possesses a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law (PGDip) from the Kenya School of Law. A budding legal scholar, Ms. Mukobi pursued a Master of Laws (LL.M) degree at the University of Nairobi, Public International Law (major). Her dissertation addressed the plight and access to justice of Kenyan emigrant domestic workers in Saudi Arabia.

Outside the corridors of justice, Benah enjoys recreational running, mountaineering, experimenting new food recipes and reading contemporary fictional works. Further, Benah is a novice in realist painting, enjoys community volunteering and supports the magnificent Arsenal Football Club.

Silas is a Commissioner of Oaths and an Advocate of the High Court of court and a Certifed Public Secretary. He is the Managing Partner and heads the Corporate, Commercial & Transactional Practices Department. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from Moi University, Kenya School of Law, Diploma in Law and a Master of Laws in International Financial Law and Regulations from Strathmore University.

He is an astute business lawyer with a specific bias in the areas of corporate & commercial law, alternative dispute resolution, property law & conveyancing, intellectual property & ICT law, project finance, mergers & acquisitions, banking law and securitization, oil and energy law, regulatory compliance and capital markets advisory.

He possesses a sound understanding of the business environment and more so in specialized industries, thus translating their broad range of legal needs into viable tailor made solutions. He has previously worked at Daly & Inamdar Advocates, Igeria & Ngugi Advocates, Chase Bank (K) Limited as a legal counsel and Muma and Kanjama Advocates where he was the head of the Corporate, Commercial and Transactional Practices Department.

Moffat is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with extensive knowledge in diverse areas of Law. He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Law from Kenya School of Law.

Moffat is an Associate in the firm’s Commercial and Real Estate Department where he deals with sales, transfers and charging of properties. He has remarkable experience in drawing and reviewing various commercial agreements such as share transfer agreements, sale agreements, lease agreements, lending agreements as well as incorporation of companies. He is a versatile Advocate as he is also knowledgeable in Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution matters.

Prior to joining the firm, he worked at Nyaguthie Njuguna & Company Advocates, Mwaniki Gachoka & Company Advocates as well as Muriu Mungai & Company Advocates (MMC ASAFO) where he was engaged in the firms’ robust Dispute Resolution Departments.

Mohamed is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He is the Senior Partner and Head of the Finance and Real Estate Department.

He is a graduate of Master of Laws –LLM degree in Public Finance and Financial Services Law from the University of Nairobi, Kenya School of Law, Diploma in Law and a Bachelor of Laws – LLB (Hons) graduate from the University of Cairo, where he attained First Class Honors. Mr. Abdullahi has worked at Zulfcar Partners in Egypt, Letangule & Company Advocates and Parliament of Kenya.

Over the years, Mr. Abdullahi has accumulated experience in energy law especially in the areas of gas and oil exploration, gas concession agreements, upstream support service agreements, gas transport and processing agreements, mergers and acquisitions, banking finance and securities, Islamic finance and securities, tax advisory and litigation before tax tribunals, mediation and arbitration
