Abdullahi, Gitari & Odhiambo Advocates LLP (AGO) is a premier and niche corporate commercial law firm located in Upper Hill area of Nairobi. The Firm was established in 2017 by the Founding Partners, Mr. Mohamed Abdullahi and Mr. Silas Gitari. The Firm has over the years, grown in size and clientele base and we currently pride
ourselves in diversity by provision of a wide range of legal services to our diverse mix of clients ranging from public listed companies, parastatals, commercial banks, financial services entities, real estate developers, small and medium sized enterprises, corporate organizations, public benefit organizations as well as individuals.

The Firm currently comprises of Two Partners, Two Principal Associates, Five Associates, Three Trainee Associates, Four Legal Assistants and Four Secretarial and Support staff making a total of Twenty.

OUR GUIDING POLICIES

1. FEES AND BILLING
AGO's model of charging fees is mainly guided by law i.e. the Advocates (Remuneration) Order. However, we remain flexible and cognizant of our diverse clients’ financial ability. Our basis of raising legal fees is informed by several factors such as the time spent and invested, the complexity, the urgency, the intricacy, the value and the logistical requirements of the matter. Further we bill disbursements based on the actual prevailing costs for stationery, postal, telephone charges and other incidentals. Where the execution of a matter involves travelling out of town, accommodation, transport and related expenses shall be borne solely by the instructing client. Value Added Tax is to be raised on legal fees and on disbursements (subject to V.A.T) as may be required by law from time to time.
2. COMMUNICATION & REGULAR STATUS-UPDATES
We maintain constant communication with clients via telephone calls and email correspondence. We also send status updates on a monthly basis to brief clients on progress made on ongoing matters and outline the way forward in the execution of outstanding tasks. We also send AGO’s regular newsletters and from time to time, letters of advice on new developments and change in law as well as legal issues relevant to their business.
3. CONFIDENTIALITY
We always endeavor to keep confidential all information relating to the clients and their transactions which come to our knowledge in the course our engagements and not to use any such information save for fulfilling our duties. Internally, such information is shared on a need–to-know basis to persons directly handling a given matter. Our duty on confidentiality extends beyond the tenor of our engagement.

AGO's office is conveniently located within Upper Hill, a premier location off the Central Business District in Nairobi on the 4th Floor of Fortis Suites, Hospital Road, opposite Nairobi Club. We are strategically located near Milimani Law Courts, Ministry of Lands and Physical Planning, State Law Offce as well as other Government Departments and Regulatory Authorities, which has helped us build strong working relationships and given us leverage on transactional based briefs
